FACT came into being following the initiative of a group of believers who have been working in the field of rural development and who have debated the question of expressing a commitment to the poor, but with a difference. This mission culminates in the birth of the organisation. Leading this group of individuals is Mr. Rao.Ch, the Founder and Director, who have been working very hard to realise this vision of development. We are working in nearly 37 Villages, serving all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. We believe in a full solution to poverty and injustice.
FACT was being itself concentrating on the premise that “Community Development” in INDIA can take place proportion to the development of Villages. We believe in a full solution to poverty and injustice. We provide emergency assistance for Women, children and families affected by poverty and disasters and conflict, partner with communities for long-term solutions to alleviate poverty, and advocate for justice on behalf of the poor and needy people of Andhra Pradesh- INDIA.
FACT has been working for the for the poor and marginalized communities in the rural and urban areas of BANDAR, CHALLAPALLI, AVANIGADDA, KODURU, AND NAGAYALANKA Mandals in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. In the beginnings we have started with small number of Villages, FACT is today known as a highly respected, and capable trust in the state of Andhra Pradesh. A unique feature of the Trust has been in developing innovating and adaptable strategies based on the 30 years of experience and continuous communication at the gross root level in order to achieve the over- all development. Over the 30 years, FACT trust has guided the process of transformation in hundreds of deference communities. We are committed and dedicated to serve the down trodden communities.
STRATEGY WORKING WITH DIFFERENT MANNER:
"Poverty is not natural. It is Man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom".
Over the nearly 30 years, FACT has identified root causes that perpetuate conditions of poverty within vulnerable communities and it has refined its abilities to respond to these problems in a systematic manner. FACT is ideology of empowering the poor and needy through the creation of people’s organizations. The idea is simply the people should decide on their own programs.
SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT – Primary importance is given to the active involvement of target groups in realizing their own needs. As such, a series of interventions are necessary to promote awareness, education, and to create People’s Organisations that will lead change at the community level.
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT – Once awareness has been raised on critical development issues, the People’s Organisations are encouraged to respond to village-level needs by taking up various infrastructure development activities, with the support of FACT.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – Any efforts to enhance human development indicators in the first two phases must be linked with income-generation activities in order to affect sustainable change. Thus, along with building confidence through the successful completion of infrastructure development, the people are also encouraged to seek out opportunities to secure their livelihoods, using sustainable means of production.
FACT is a partnership of Christians and philanthropic agencies whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.
We follow this mission through integrated, holistic commitment to Transformation development that is community-based and sustainable focused especially on the needs of Women and children. Emergency relief that assists people afflicted by conflict or disaster.
Our primary objective is Jesus’ command to “go” and “make disciples.” Our churches are making disciple at every age level children, youth, men and women. Each believer is equipping to grow in Jesus’ love and lead others to follow Him.
The Harvest is plenty but the labourers are few". Let us, therefore ask the Master of the Harvest to send forth the labourers into the Harvest fields which are ripe and receptive. We are looking forward to more and more Harvest and mobilize in coming years to reach the un-reached people for Christ. Amen.
WE ARE : We acknowledge one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus Christ, the love, mercy, and grace of God are made known to us and all people. From this overflowing abundance of God’s love, we find our call to ministry.
We seek to follow Him — in His identification with the poor, the afflicted, the oppressed, the marginalized; in His special concern for Women and children; in His respect for the dignity bestowed by God on women equally with men; in His challenge to unjust attitudes and systems; in His call to share resources with each other; in His love for all people without discrimination or conditions; in His offer of new life through faith in Him. From Him we derive our holistic understanding of the gospel of the Kingdom of God, which forms the basis of our response to human need.
EQUIPPING THE BELIEVER:
Believers are called to dedicate their spiritual gifts, talents, and resources. It’s a natural development. Happy, healthy Christ-followers more and more desire to own their talents and skills to bring the missing into endless relationship with Jesus; this is why we offer many such opportunities.
MULTIPLYING THE LEADERS:
We promote the leadership; The Good Samaritan is our BENCHMARK for such service. FACT has given many opportunities to hear and respond to God’s call to ministry through various projects. We are encouraging the Churches to develop service-minded leaders who shown evidence that they are called to plant churches.
SENDING THE CALLED:
A confident indication of a healthy disciple of Christ is one who reaches out to the lost as well as supports those who are called to “go.” Ultimately, the privilege of being a child of the King involves a great responsibility, the FACT developing healthy Christ-followers who in turn make more disciples.
FACT strongly believes that in order for development to be effectively owned, executed and managed by the people themselves, representative committees must be formed and trained to lead such activities at the village level. In this regard, FACT promotes the formation of People’s Organisations that can represent the needs and aspirations of a community.
WE VALUE THE PEOPLE:
We regard all people as created and loved by God. We give priority to people before money, structure, systems, and other institutional machinery. We practice a participate, open, enabling style in working relationships. We encourage the professional, personal, and spiritual development of our staff.
Despite their enormous contributions to family, community and society, women in rural India continue to live as secondary citizens, facing severe discrimination and deprivation in all three domains. FACT believes that community development is incomplete without the inclusion of women’s voices and participation. Accordingly, great efforts are placed on promoting activities that create a space for the active participation of women, and the re-negotiation of power dynamics between sexes. In particular, FACT works in the following areas:
Promoting the creation of gender-balanced people’s organisations to take up developmental activities that are specific to improving the living and working conditions of women
Disseminating information on women’s legal rights and existing government delivery mechanisms
Increasing women’s knowledge on child care, health and hygiene, nutrition and sanitation
Conducting workshops to enable discussions and potential solutions to issues such as dowries, child marriages, lack of girl child education, and other practices that sustain gender inequality in the community
Providing adult literacy and legal literacy training to women
WE ARE STEWARDS;
The resources at our disposal are not our own. They are a sacred trust from God through donors on behalf of the poor. We are faithful to the purpose for which those resources are given and manage them in a manner that brings maximum benefit for the poor.
We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and accept the need to be accountable through appropriate structures for achieving these standards. We share our experience and knowledge with others where it can assist them.
We are stewards of God’s creation. We care for the earth and act in ways that will restore and protect the environment. We ensure that our development activities are ecologically sound.
We are responsive to life-threatening emergencies where our involvement is needed and appropriate. We are willing to take intelligent risks and act quickly. We do this from a foundation of experience and sensitivity to what the situation requires. We also recognize that even in the midst of crisis, the destitute have a contribution to make from their experience.
We are responsive in a different sense where deep-seated and often complex economic and social deprivation calls for sustainable, long-term development. We maintain the commitments necessary for this to occur.
God gave some to be the Apostles, and some prophets. And some Evangelists, and some, Pastors and Teachers, meant for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of ministering, to the building up of the body of Christ: (Eph 4:11, 12). Apart from these categories, God raised up administrators to improve the work His kingdom. Each denomination, however small or big it might be, has tremendous responsibility to oversee the pioneering and development of God-given ministry.
